Brunei - Man I missed choinese food
I touched down in Brunei and for the first time I was in Brunei without neither of my parents being there. It sounds really normal but it's just odd to be in Brunei and not have them to depend on, although a lot of my dad's brothers and sisters tend to take care of us really well anyway. My brother picked me up and we were back into our normal bro-sis banter, taking the piss out of each other.
The next morning my aunt looks at me and goes "ey? you're back ah?". It seems my bro bro didn't spread the word and announce to the whole of Brunei of my arrival bahaha. I was a bit grumpy that my aunties didn't know but oh well, I got over it rather quick. I was looking forward to getting my hair coloured, legs waxed, eye brows plucked, nails pedicure and toes manicure at my other aunty's beauty salon. Hooraah. OHH and i was SO looking forward to some good old choi-knees food.
The chinese food in Japan is terrible! Every restaraunt I'd gone to always made the food very Japanesey and too sweet. My first meal was a very tasty combination crispy noodle claypot accompanied by sugar cane juice. For some cuckoo reason the meal actually made me really really happy! The week followed on with more awesome chinese - kolomee, Brunei laksa, herbal chicken soup, dim sum, chicken rice... all the good stuff.
